Hydraulic Power Tong Casing Tong

BETTER Casing Tongs could provide essential make-up and break-out capabilities when handling casing tubular during drilling operations, ensuring well integrity. These tongs are available in various sizes, ranging from 5-1/2" to 36", and are meticulously designed to handle both high-torque casing and lightweight casing.These casing tongs could spanning from 15,000 ft-lbs up to 200,000 ft-lbs. 


Model BT-140/20XA Hydraulic Power Tong is an open-head tong used for quick make-up/break-out in well service operations. The tong use planetary claws to clamp, which is a latest patent product. Application range is Ф 60-140mm(23/8″-51/2″) tubing, drill pipe, casting. Four gear shift, with hydraulic backup tong (Application range is Ф 60-156mm).

The tongs have the following feature:

1.Adopt the braking belt, easy to adjust and repair, reliable braking.
2.The tong adopts national invention patent technology,it can clamp random tube without changing any part within the application range.
3.The springs of the guide poles and the suspending device are best matched to reduce the wear of the tubing thread in make-up/break-out operations.
4.Adjust the oil supply pressure, users can obtain the best make-up torque of various kinds oil tube.
5.Users can equip hydraulic suspension according to needs, the suspension valve compactly contact with hand control valve, so it is easy to control.
6.Adopt the patent technology of duplex valve or triplex valve to ensure backup tong operation reliable and protective function under overpressure conditions.
7.Users can equip torque control system according to needs, which can accuracy control make-up torque.
