LINERS
BETTER supplies a wide range of liners to fit most popular mud pump types. Triplex and duplex pump are both available for high chrome liners, chrome-plated liners, hardened single steel liners, and Zirconia ceramic liners. All our liners are made of high strength forged steel hulls; the inner sleeves are mounted in the hull to a tightness averaging 18 thousands tight. After the hull and sleeve are assembled, the I.D. of the liner is honed to a perfect circle like a mirror. And HP design with shoulder-on-hull design is machined to prevent sleeve slippage and overcome the high pressure drilling conditions.
SUPREME LINERS (BIMETAL LINERS)
SUPREME LINERS are the most popular style of liner used by drilling contractors worldwide, which is cost-effective combination of the outstanding performance and durability. Design of high chrome iron or bimetal sleeve into a forged steel hull, the liners offers extreme abrasion, resistance, hardness, and corrosion resistance. The chrome-iron liners can withstand the highest hoop stresses since the hulls are made of 45# steel forging. All BETTER liners are manufactured with the "HP" lip design to prevent inner sleeve slippage. And the bore is precision honed with a surface finish engineered to promote maximum piston life.
ZIRCONIA-CERAMIC LINERS
BETTER's Zirconia-ceramic liner is produced from a unique Zirconium-based ceramic compound that is extremely pure and stabilized, so that it avoids Alumina-ceramic liners' brittle, and exhibits better polished, impact strength, long lasting, tough, and crack resistant than Alumina-ceramic liner.
With these property advantages, the liners' service life will be greatly extended, and an indirect effect will reduce the friction between the liner and pistons, which in turn extends piston life and reduces pump-cooling requirements, and good performance on the high temperature application. LINER GASKETS & PACKINGS
