Product Description

BETTER's Hydraulic Power Tongs are used for running or pulling tubular strings during well repair, workover, snubbing, drilling and casing operations in oil & gas drilling wells. Those Hydraulic Power Tongs are manufactured according to API 7K and 8A standards as well as under ISO-9001 quality procedures.

Model BT- XQ114/6YB Hydraulic Power Tongs is a medium sized, open mouth tongs, which is currently used in the workover to assemble and disassemble the 73(2 7/8′′),89(3 1/2′′),114(4 1/2′′)mm oil pipes. This tongs adopts the advanced steering brake mechanism and oil pipe clamping mechanism,.The power tong also can be equipped with automatic torque control system.

This series  BETTER power tong is used for quick make-up/break-out sucker rod in well service operations. The tong is equipped with hydraulic backup tong and use planetary claws to clamp, which is an up to date parent product. It's an ideal choice in well service operation.The tongs have the following features:

1.The advanced automatic hydraulic backup tong controlled by manual valve,matches master tong well, the back tong freely clamps and escapes from the pipe synchronously,enabling a reliable and flexible combined operation.
2.Adopt the patent valve which can solely control the make-up torque and have over pressure protective function.
3.The dies are common for drill pipe of different specifications by changing various tongs of the master tong and backup tong.
4. Big speed differences between gear shifts provide a high speed at the high gear and a big torque at the low gear.
5. The brake and direction control mechanism in the head of the tong is reliable in performance and convenient in assembly, adjustment and repair.
6. The backup tong floats under the master tong which is suspending and the backup tong hose is connected to the master tong with joint. The backup tong can be easily removed from the master tong for convenient handling and move.
7. Torque reader can be chosen to set on the back of the backup tong.
8.Torque Control System may be equipped according to customer's request.
